Reunion BBQ

The main event, and biggest hit, of the bbq this year was the sawdust dig/treasure hunt. Basically, a whole lot of coins were tossed into the sawdust, and the kids took turns by age group looking for them.
For many the youngest children, it was more fun playing in the soft pine shavings than actually finding coins.
Adults lounged around, chatting, eating, etc.
Kids are fun! Grandpa knows that well.
I'm pretty sure that every family gathering I end up with a candid shot of Jonny kissing one of his children. Sweet daddy. Tanner, however, is just practicing - being a great second-cousin/uncle-ish type guy.
Ice cream for desert!
And back outside for more fun in the sawdust, on the playground, on the trampoline...
Winding down as the sun sets. (Can I just say real quick how much I love Dar's hat? It's so Neal Caffrey.)
Don't worry Katers, we'll get together again soon!
