Easter - Fun Family Day

Easter morning my boys woke to find one basket loaded with some movies, a children's novel, activity books, and one candy-filled egg each. We had a lovely lazy morning together, complete with cinnamon bread French toast, since we weren't attending our regular church.

Lisa and Greg decided to bless their baby girl Lily (born just after Charlie's birthday) on Easter Sunday. We had a really nice time attending their ward, plus Charlie got to go home with Luke (Val headed back to her house after sacrament) and David bumped down to nursery to hang with Emily so they didn't cry and distract Mark or I from the other classes. Greg taught the special 5th Sunday/3rd hour lesson on the Atonement. Then we all went to Val's house to have our Easter feast and enjoy each other - and celebrate Luke's birthday, too!

 

We love that we can spend special days with extended family (and enjoy their awesome cooking skills. We ate ham AND lamb, deviled eggs, fruit salad, jello, rolls, asparagus, mashed potatoes & gravy and for desert there were wormy cupcakes for the kids and homemade eclairs for the adults. Yum!
