A highlight of every summer is a trip home to Seattle. This year I had to make the drive alone as there was just plain too much important work to do at the pellet factory for Mark to get away. We made great time and were fully rested the next morning to go and play with my dad and step-mom.
My dad with the boys in his backyard... Charlie got the biggest kick out of their dog, Tanner. He laughed like crazy when Tanner barked at him, not intimidated at all! Then we went down the road to Dash Point State Park, which is on the Puget Sound. Without buckets & shovels it wasn't as fun as we'd hoped. Lesson learned. We made the most of it by log walking and checking out the seaweed... just a little.
