We bumped Isaac up to the 5th graders' league in rec soccer this fall - a gamble because he is small, but it paid off as he was still highly competitive and a key player. Plus this way he got to play with more friends from last season. We had a pretty great routine of Mark assistant coaching, me taking photos, Charlie & David playing in the baseball sand, and Samuel alternately watching the game and goofing off (but never running away, hallelujah).
The Wilford cousins came to watch one of the games, too, with Grandma.
Isaac played well, valuable on offense and defense, he scored eight goals total for the season. I missed seeing the last three games of regular play, plus the one all-star game by being in the hospital with Charlie. Here's a shot another mom took of the all-star team after their victory (Isaac is far right on the bottom):
We get a lot of pleasure out of watching Isaac play soccer - something he gets so much pleasure doing. We're hopeful in the spring to form a local competitive team and skip rec league, but we'll see.
